# Governance

The VLR token will play the central role in unifying token holders with passionate business leaders across the globe. A DAO infrastructure is the most effective mechanism to direct charitable funds, select ideal partners, and leverage the strengths of community members. At present, Valer Studios is playing a central role in bootstrapping the ecosystem and developing a mechanism to garner support from a diversity of voices.

Announcements about the launch of an official VLR DAO will be shared with the community in the near future.
